ANTWERP, Belgium, December 2, 2010 -
The Eco²Chem project aims to further improve the sustainability of the chemical industry in Flanders by summarising the different eco-efficiency measurement methods (EEM) which are available and developing an on-line decision tool for SME's and other companies to decide which EEM is the most efficient. This project is lead by Essenscia in cooperation with the University of Ghent and VITO.
2 December 2010 Essenscia organized its yearly event with the theme “sustainability in daily practice”. TopChim was invited to present its innovative biopolymer as an example of bringing sustainable chemistry to the packaging industry, along with the first results of its Eco²Chem project.
